Sometimes a speaker’s words, though intelligent and moving, are soon forgotten. Sometimes a speaker’s words make a lasting impression. When you addressed the Banner recruitment team recently, your words penetrated my soul. They moved me to look within and honestly take stock of my priorities in life. As you said, life is short; often shorter than we know. Your words encouraged me to consider how I’m likely to feel about those priorities in retrospect. Your words encouraged me to reconsider how fully and meaningfully I respond to the opportunities, challenges and blessings each irreplaceable moment presents. Your words helped me more fully appreciate the impact of the hiring decisions I make and facilitate. Few callings are more personal than a calling to serve the healthcare needs of our brothers and sisters – even if we serve indirectly, as in recruitment. While I’ve always felt honored to serve in the healthcare industry, your talk awakened a heightened sense of responsibility for just how impactful my role is to the experience of patients and their loved ones. You shared a deeply personal and painful moment of truth as a patient’s husband. You shared an experience I feel responsible to ensure another patient’s love one doesn’t experience.
Your story is important and I appreciate the opportunity to have heard it. I’m glad the recruiters I lead had the opportunity to have heard it. I want others to hear it. As we plan events to staff our new patient tower at Thunderbird, the potential of your powerful story to help shape the future of excellent patient care at Thunderbird excites me. I hope to call on you as a speaker for a yet to be planned event for nurses and/or other patient care providers.
Thank you for enriching my life with the gift of your story.

Banner Health
I am on the recruiting team at Banner Health and was fortunate enough to see Mark Trombino’s presentation of Motivational Small Talk. I had a little history on Mark and was fully prepared to hear a wonderful story about championing on through life when something devastating has happened. What I didn’t expect was to be so incredibly moved by his story and grateful for those reminders that puts life in perspective. Mark’s story is appropriate for lessons of perseverance, doing what you love, making the most of each day and living up to our fullest potential. It teaches us that our differences are what makes us special and how to embrace those differences. Most importantly, it teaches us to seize the day! I am grateful to have had the opportunity to hear Mark’s story and would give him the highest recommendation.

Mark's message is amazing and so is he. I personally took a lot from his speech and will try to apply his message to my own life. I am going to look at hiring Mark as a motivational speaker for future conferences.

I want to thank you very much for your participation in our “Faces of Diversity” Brown Bag Lunch Series on October 26. Your presentation was extremely well received by those in attendance, which included City of Phoenix Top Management and employees, State & County workers, as well as many other interested citizens. Our department has received numerous compliments for bringing in a speaker of your caliber.
Your presentation was very insightful, thought provoking, and inspiring. It afforded our community a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the topic of cultural diversity and more importantly, created positive exchange among diverse groups. Again, thanks a million.
